4th of July + Weekend Fun

Hi lovelies! So I'm recapping this past weekend plus some 4th of July fun today. Got to be honest, after a three day week I'm not really looking forward to the full five days of work this week. Can we not ease our way back in to a full week? I know, boo hoo, right?

So the 4th was fun, we started the day out at the flying field, which was fun but hot as hades.

By the time we left there I was SO ready to be out of the sun!

Next was lunch at a friend's house, I made the dessert (obvs), these cookies and also banana pudding: 

Then we went to the beach to watch fireworks, our tradition for the 4th! We were out there early which left lots of time to chill on the beach and enjoy the shade and the ocean breeze. Why don't we go to the beach more??

It was my first weekend in a while without a cake job, so I thoroughly enjoyed the relaxation time! What about you? How was your weekend?
