Favorite Beauty Finds

Happy Friday dolls! I thought today I would round up some of my favorite beauty finds lately.

1. Hair, Skin, and Nails- It Works

Y'all. This stuff is a game changer for me. I can't remember if I have mentioned this before, but I have Hypothyroidism, which affects a lot of things in your body, but one of those things is your hair. Before I was diagnosed my hair was super thick. But it started to thin, mainly in the front, about 10 years ago (that's actually what prompted me to see the doctor) and over the past year it has thinned even more.

If you have ever experienced this and maybe even if you haven't I probably don't have to tell you how disheartening and panic-inducing it can be to see more hair than usual coming out when you brush or noticing thinning areas on your head.

It's a major insecurity for me. I have tried a lot of different things and nothing really seemed to help until I started taking this. I've been taking it for about two months and I am seriously amazed at the difference in my hair thickness. The areas where it was getting really thin is starting to fill in, plus my hair looks shinier and healthier! I'm a fan.

I do not sell ItWorks products, nor do I plan to. I just love it so much. The link above is to my Distributor's site, but I do not get any kind of kick back or compensation for it.

2. Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner

I got this in my last Birchbox and it's soooo much easier than any liquid liner I've used before! It's like a really fine tipped felt marker, so it's a lot easier to draw an even line and it stays put!

3. Maybelline Great Lash in Brownish Black

This mascara is a classic, super affordable and it just makes my lashes look great. Nothing fancy but I love it!

4. Jelly Pong Pong Glow Getter Luminizer Gel

Another Birchbox find! I use this on my brow bone and in the inner corner of my eye to highlight and add a little glow. Sometimes I use a tiny bit on my cheeks too.

5. Benefit Lollibalm Hydrating Tinted Lip Balm

This is a really nice pinkish-nude on me and it feels great on my lips. Sometimes I use it alone, other times I swipe some very subtly shimmery gloss on top.

6. Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs

Influenster sent me Airbrush legs for free to sample. It's definitely not something I would use every day but for special occasions for sure! My sample is the "Light" and when I'm first putting it on it's looks kind of dark (I am super pale)! But as I keep rubbing it in it blends well and it does smooth out my skin tone and gives it a nice glow. I put it on before work the other day (picture below), went though the whole day and even went for a run in a light rain and it stayed put!

Facing the screen, left leg has the Airbrush Legs, right leg is without.
Not making this picture any bigger than it is because I already feel kind of
weird posting a picture of my legs on the internets.
Have you tried any of these products? What do you think?

Oh and funnies. I have to.

I don't know why these things make me laugh so hard but they just do.

Ok, not everyone will probably recognize this next one, but I know Kristen will!

The bottom elephant- SO me. I cannot with mornings. Unless I don't have to go to work and then somehow I magically love mornings...

I just want to know what kind of party these people were having:

Have a fabulous weekend, lovelies!

Confessions + Last Day to Enter the Giveaway!

*Don't forget to enter the giveaway below!*

+ I've heard a lot of people say they threw their scale away and no longer use it because it can be a pretty poor measure of your progress, and it can make you too focused on a number that may or may not be an accurate indicator. Which I totally agree and I totally get.

BUT. (Here's my big butt, I mean the big but)

For me there is nothing that gives me a better kick in the pants when I've gotten off track than my scale. I can make all kinds of excuses for why my pants feel tighter, but when I see a certain number on that scale, I KNOW I need to cut the crap and get back to work. Maybe someday I'll get to the place where I don't need the scale for accountability, but right now I feel like I do. #ICan'tQuitYou

+ Sometimes my naturally wavy/curly hair gets on my nerves but lately I'm pretty much loving it because I wash it, throw in some gel or some sea salt spray and I'm good to go. I'm averaging straightening my hair about once a week these days. #lazy

#flawless

+ This could be because I keep hitting snooze in the mornings and giving myself about 10 minutes to get ready. #sleepwins

+ Does anyone else just start randomly cackling while scrolling through Pinterest and finding stuff like the meme above and your husband just looks at you like:

+ This week has been a little more cake business heavy and I'm finding it much harder to keep up with multiple cake jobs now that I have a separate full time job. It's pretty much wearing me out. #ICan'tHang

+ Y'all. I think the plants and stuff are seriously trying to kill me this year. My allergies are SO bad. Why does nature hate me???

You should confess with us because it's really therapeutic.

Don't forget about the Chloe and Isabel Giveaway! Today is the last day to enter!

1. Can you tell us a little about Chloe + Isabel?
The Chloe + Isabel Brand was inspired by a concept we call "The Friendship Philosophy" - the idea of two best friends with different personalities and styles, united by their passion for style and self-expression. Chloe and Isabel are names that represent the two personalities we see in our customers, our Merchandisers, and ourselves.
“Chloe” is a fearless fashionista, always in search of the season’s hottest trends, while “Isabel” appreciates, above all, timeless, beautifully-crafted pieces. Whether you're a Chloe, an Isabel, or a Chloe-bel (that's a bit of both!), we are a destination for all women!

2. What made you decide to start working with Chloe + Isabel?
I decided to start working with Chloe + Isabel because I'm not completely fulfilled in my current position and I was looking for another way to generate income and see where building a business would take me. I hosted an online party with my friend who is a merchandizer for Chloe + Isabel. My party did very well and I got free jewelry. I love fashion & jewelry so it just made sense.

3. What are your favorite pieces?
The c+i jewelry is awesome. Some of the really nice features are that all pieces are hypoallergenic, nickel-free, and lead safe. We offer a lifetime replacement and 30-day money back guarantee on every piece. From timeless to fashion-driven, our pieces start at just $18. They have a really unique concept called convertibles, where the pieces are multifunctional.

Some of my favorite pieces are Bouquet Rouge Double Pendant Necklace, Gilded Reeds Aventurine Long Pendant, Heirloom Tortoise Link Necklace, Color Code Crystal Bracelet, Starburst + Seed Pearl Long Pendant

4. What advice do you have to give to someone who is considering getting started in a venture like C + I?
Feel free to reach out to me! I would love to answer any questions you may have. I would definitely recommend this company and opportunity to anyone who is looking for a little more financial freedom and would also love a few new piece of lifetime guaranteed jewelry.

If you just want to purchase some beautiful jewelry, visit my boutique!

Today along with some of my favorite bloggy friends are giving away a pair of the gorgeous teeny tortoise stud earrings! These are the CUTEST studs (I might have to order a pair for myself)!

'Fess up

Hooray for hump day! This week is going pretty quickly for me so I'm cool with it.

I keep forgetting to say this, but I feel like I should clarify that I do respond to all of the comments you lovely ladies are leaving on this little bloggity blog of mine! I know I started out replying on the post but then I was concerned the people who commented would never see my response if they didn't come back to the post. So I started replying by email, but then I got worried that it looked like I'm a snob and never respond to all of the sweet comments y'all leave (which totally make my day, by the way!) since they don't show up on the post! (Clearly I overthink things) So I just wanted to make sure you all know that I greatly appreciate your comments and reply to all of them, and if you don't get a response either I've totally spaced somehow and not seen the email OR you're a no reply blogger so I can't email you! Phew!

Now that I've gotten that off my chest, here's a few more...

I know this makes me a very bad fan but I honestly do not have high hopes for my Gators this Saturday. I mean I love them and I obviously want them to win, but seriously, it's Alabama. Let's not kid ourselves.

I signed up for Influenster about a month ago, and I got my first VoxBox yesterday! I got the email that they were sending it on Friday and I was kind of ridiculously excited about it. I think Adam was thinking, wow, you're easily amused. But I mean FREE stuff! It really doesn't take much to excite me, obviously.

Now that I've gotten it, I feel like I need to take the whole "Share it on social media, blog about it, take pics" thing VERY seriously and do a really good job or I'm afraid they won't like me and won't send me another one! ::bitesnails::

I had a PB&J for lunch yesterday. Hi, I'm five years old.

There's a lady in my building (she doesn't work in my office, just in the same building we're in) that is usually coming in the door in the morning the same time I am, and when I see her I try to run ahead and avoid having to talk to her because it's always just weird and super awkward- she seems to feel the need to fill the silence with a constant stream of uncomfortable small talk. I'm awkward enough all on my own, and I can't do small talk in the morning.

I really am a nice person, I swear.

I know planning out my grocery shopping to take advantage of sales and clipping coupons is great and can save you a lot of money, but it always feels like SO much work. It literally took me most of the evening after dinner last night to make my list, look for the sales, and print and clip coupons. Probably because I'm bad at it and I've never been able to do as well as these women who can get $100 worth of groceries for 50 cents.

I have to do said grocery shopping after work today (because I was too lazy to get it together and do it over the weekend, shhh!) and I just know after I get done spending money on all that food I'm not going to feel like cooking any of it.

I'm really sorry, but I don't understand the no 'poo craze. I'm not talking about going a few days without washing your hair. I'm talking about the people who swear off shampoo completely. I mean, I know they say your hair eventually stops overproducing oil so your head eventually stops looking like an oil slick, and it's so much healthier and blah, blah, blah, but all I can think is eeeeewwww. I just don't think I could do it. Plus my hair would probably end up looking something like this:

That's all I got today! Link it up!
