Weekend Recap

Warning: There are a lot of food pictures in this post. I didn't realize how many food pics I took until I uploaded them last night. Apparently all I did this weekend was eat. Exhibit A:

Obvs I'm back on the horse with my meal plan today.

Friday was a crazy day at work so I was happy to jet outta there at 5:00!

On Friday night we met friends for dinner at Ruby Tuesdays and I had an awesome salad and some delicious chicken topped with artichoke and portabella mushrooms.

Then we went by the store for some groceries and necessary supplies:

On Saturday morning I went to Panera to enjoy some carbs and reading. Yes, I realize how ironic it is that I was reading a fitness magazine while eating a bagel and cream cheese.

I cleaned the house and did some shopping (found some workout shorts at Target on sale, score!) and grabbed some books at the library on the way home.

I also got up close and personal with the dogs.

As you can see Otie was thrilled for the photo sesh. Hurley's just like, "Really mom?" and Rocky is just happy to be here, as always.

Saturday evening we made a delicious dinner and enjoyed a quiet night at home.

Sunday I slept in, did some reading, and had lunch with my honey at Hurricane.

Then chilled in the hammock with my pup and my book. Pretty much the most relaxing day ever.

And that pretty much sums it up. Not too thrilling but I enjoyed it! Did you get to relax this weekend?

Weekend Recap

We had a great weekend! It was a good mix of relaxing, a little bit of work, and fun!

Friday night we ordered pizza and worked on the wedding cake for the next day. We also watched this, because, why not?

Saturday morning we finished the cake and delivered it to this GORGEOUS house in Ponte Vedra Beach (where the rich people live).

After delivering the cake we stopped by Trader Joe's! And pretty much walked in and back out because it was INSANELY busy and the lines at the register were straight up ridiculous. Maybe better to wait a week or so until the madness dies down and try again.

It was a little disappointing not to be able to buy organic pumpkin chai mix and pumpkin cornbread croutons, but there was no way we were standing in that line for half an hour (I might be exaggerating a little, but not by much).

So we went to this other organic and natural foods grocery store by our house called Earth Fare, and found some complete impulse buys like this awesomeness:

SO good, and it's made with Almond Milk and only 90 calories a serving!!

Then we went to Chili's to watch football and eat food. I tweeted at Chili's and they totally tweeted me back, I kinda geeked out about it. I'm such a Twitter noob.

Sunday morning I cleaned the house and paid bills (yay for adult stuff!) and then we went to Hurricane Grill where we watched the game and ended up getting free lunch because the waitress took our order and then forgot about us. We hadn't even really noticed that much how long it was taking because we were into the game, and she came up and said she forgot about our table and she was so sorry and lunch was on her! So that was kind of awesome, lunch was delicious, and we were sitting outside in perfect weather directly in front of the huge TV:

Sunday evening was walking on the beach and dinner with friends.

Then we went to Target and this happened:
Notice how thrilled he looks

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words...

But these aren't worth quite that much. Still, they pretty much sum up my weekend.

So I'm quite obviously still very new to all this blog stuff and have no idea what I'm doing. Over the weekend I looked into things a little more and determined that Blogger would be a better platform for me. Since I didn't have very much to switch over I figured it would be better to make the move now rather than wait and have a lot more posts to move. So here I am!

It is so a Monday, ugh. I would much rather be snuggling with my pups and reading a book with some of my new favorite coffee (Fresh Market Summer Blend). But at least we have dinner with friends tonight to look forward to! Have a fabulous Monday everyone!

Linking up with all of these lovely ladies!
