Disney Recap!

Finally! I know this took me forever to get to, but I had to have a while to sit down and do it because I knew it was going to take a while to get through the eleventy billion pictures and pare them down to a somewhat non-ridiculous amount for a blog post. And boy did it ever! You guys, I'm really sorry in advance for the overabundance of pictures ahead.

So we arrived in the land of magic and fun on Sunday evening and proceeded to take goofy pictures in our room at the Swan:

Then we walked out to the Boardwalk to look around and enjoy the beautiful non-stifling weather!

This is the last time you will see my hair down in these pictures. I straightened it every morning and the Florida humidity was like LOL, no. So up in a ponytail it went!

Next we went to Downtown Disney for dinner at Planet Hollywood.

The next day we started out in Animal Kingdom to ride everything we wanted to ride there (Expedition Everest, Dinosaur, and Dino-rama!) We also decided to ride the Kali River Rapids thinking, "We'll get a little wet, but we'll dry fast and we can run back to the hotel if we need to!" Yeah, we got soaked. We just happened to catch pretty much all of the biggest "rapid" on the ride. You can't really tell in the picture, but trust me, we were drenched!

So that was a pretty uncomfortable bus ride back, but we were able to change clothes, so yay for that! Of course it pretty much rained half the day every day we were there, so we stayed drenched the whole time. But we made the best of it!

Next we headed to Magic Kingdom!

That thing in the top right corner is called LeFou's Brew, and it's SO good! It's frozen apple juice with a hint of toasted marshmallow, topped with passion mango-fruit foam. Sounds really weird, but it's delicious! The one on the bottom is the coffee float made with vanilla soft-serve I always get from Auntie Gravity's in Tomorrowland. Yes, that is a poncho Adam's holding in the bottom picture. We wore those a lot.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Haunted Mansion, and the Riverboat

I just got a picture of Marie from Aristocats, NBD.

That evening we went back to the hotel and watched a ridiculous amount of crime TV. It was awesome.

The next day we spent in Hollywood Studios!

Lights, Motors, Action! Show

Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater where we ate dinner! Then we were ready to head back to the hotel since our shoes and socks were soaked through. We had some funnel cake on the Boardwalk that night because, clearly we had not eaten enough yet.

The last day we went back to Magic Kingdom and finished up the day at Epcot.

Main Street decked out for Fall!

On the People Mover

Never enough shots of the castle!

Test Track!

In China!

The ball!

I don't have a pic of it, but we had the BEST caramel corn ever in Germany at the Werther's store. We were standing outside of it trying to decide where to go and the caramely, buttery smell wafted over. We were both like "WHAT IS THAT???" and we literally followed our noses over to the shop. Of course we got a bag of the caramel corn (it really did taste like Werther's caramel!) and a chocolate caramel filled cookie that was the size of my face.

That was the end of our trip! We had a fabulous time in spite of the rainy weather! I can't wait to back as always, and until then, as Mickey would say...

Confessions

1. I'm kind of geeking out about the fact that I have 12 Bloglovin' followers. 12! I know, I'm a cute little baby blogger.

2. I'm having a serious vacation hangover this week. Like, it's bad! And I don't even drink alcohol! Although I did eat A LOT of carbs last week...maybe it's a massive carb coma. I'm just feeling so out of it and my mind is elsewhere. I'll probably snap out of it about the time the weekend rolls around again, so that's convenient.

3. We have a wedding cake to do this weekend and there is nothing I would like to do less right now. My heart's just not in the cake business these days. We've pretty much stopped taking jobs and are just finishing up the jobs we already had scheduled. It's kind of sad because it used to be a passion of mine, but I got SO burned out. I think I just need a break from it and maybe someday I will want to do it again.

4. We FINALLY got a Trader Joe's here!!! And all I want to do is go buy everything, but I'm kind of afraid to for my wallet's sake. But Amanda posted about the pumpkin cornbread croutons so now I have to. Also, THIS STUFF RIGHT HERE:
Butter that is made of cookies?! This can only be good.

5. The radio station I listen to in the mornings is doing their pledge drive thing this week so I've pretty much tuned out until next week. I know that probably makes me a bad person but they play about a quarter of the music they usually play, and instead of their usual morning banter which is fun, they are talking about pledges the whole time and it gets old real fast! I mean I get that they need support and I do appreciate them but I can only take so much of that!

6. I LOVE decorating for Fall but I still haven't really done anything decorating-wise to the house. Since we just got back from vacation AND our house it's kind of a disaster right now (we're still in the process of organizing and going through all of the stuff from our cake shop that we closed last year, but that's a story for another day), so it's hard to be motivated to decorate when everything is everywhere. It's kind of like being in the middle of a move to a new place, except we're not and we just have a ton of crap with not enough to space to fit it in.

7. I made a Facebook page for the blog a couple of weeks ago, pretty much just so I could link to it on that sidebar thingy I made (Thanks to Sarah at VTIM for her fabulous tutorial on that!!) and have done absolutely NOTHING with it. I should really post something or...something.

8. Last week in the hotel room after we got back from the parks we watched episode after episode of this show called Forensic Files which is one of those crime story shows where they show you what happened and how they figured it out and all that. Those shows are seriously addictive to me, and I'm not sure why but it's a little scary how much I like them.

9. We also watched Mean Girls and though I've seen it probably a jillion times (yes, a JILLION 'cause that's a real number) I laughed just as hard as the first time I saw it. That movie never gets old.

10. Wow, I always start these posts thinking "What am I going to confess about this week, I've got nothing because I'm pretty boring" and then I end up with a pretty long list of stuff (which let's face it, is still pretty boring I'm sure). It's like therapy.

You should link up with us, 'cause it's the cool thing to do.

I'm back!

It's so good to be back to blogging again after more than a week away! It was great to take a break from real life in the land of magic and Mickey Mouse, but I'm glad to be getting back to a routine- not to mention back to eating normally (let's not talk about how much junk I ate this past week).

Best movie EVER.

I just downloaded the massive amount of pictures from my camera card, and let's just say it's going to take me a while to sort through them all and come up with a recap post. So that will be coming later this week (I hope). We actually got back on Thursday, but I've been in post-vacation funk and haven't felt like doing much of anything beyond continuing to eat everything in sight, watch movies and football, and sleep in. So basically I've been really productive this weekend.

How I'm pretty sure I looked waking up this morning.

I actually did get my grocery shopping done yesterday (yay for vegetables, lean protein, and greek yogurt!) and went by BBW for some Fall Wallflowers. Usually I like to wait for the semi-annual sale to buy those, but I was almost completely out of them and had no pumpkin scents! Oh noes!

Now that I'm back from vacay and ready to buckle down, I'm very excited to be joining Sarah Christine Style for her One Thing Challenge! Check it out here

I have come a long way since the beginning of this year, but I still have a little ways to go to reach my ultimate goal weight, so I am very excited to be joining up with her in this challenge!

I'm also really excited about the package I got from eShakti this weekend! More on that later!

I'm currently wading through emails and trying to feel motivated to get the morning report ready for our daily meeting. Yippeeee.

How was your weekend?
