Weekend Recap

Here we are, another Monday has arrived! And I am posting a recap! I know, I'm shocked too, after being a major slacker lately. I had a very relaxing weekend, here are the high points:

Found the cutest, most comfy palazzo pants at Target-

Had dinner with friends from work on Friday night-

Painted my nails and toes with Essie Mint Candy Apple-

Enjoyed some time on the beach (except no swimming because of the whole bacteria thing)-

Had lunch with Adam at one of our weekend spots-

Drank caramel macchiato and enjoyed some reading-

Got my July Birchbox-

And there was a lot of reading, relaxing, and sleeping. Pretty much perfect. How was your weekend?

Weekend Recap: Hello June!

Happy June!! It's my birthday month so I am pretty excited about it. Although I cannot even believe we are halfway through the year already. Crazy town.

This weekend was fun and pretty laid back. A good way to leave May behind and get ready for June!

On Friday night we went over to a friend's house for a delicious dinner and time to chill and enjoy each other's company. They just got back from a trip to Phoenix/Sedona and they showed us their amazing pictures and told us about their trip. We also got some sweet souvenirs!

On Saturday morning we went to a membership class at our church. We've been attending there for a while but feel like it's time to take the step to get more connected. We had an awesome time, met some new people, and even did crafts!

Don't be jealous of our awesome crafting skills.

Then we had lunch at Mojo's. Later that afternoon we went down to the beach for a walk and frozen custard.

And also had some quality snuggle/nap time.

Hurley needs a haircut. Yikes.

Sunday morning I slept in a little and then cleaned the house while Adam went out to the RC field. Then we had lunch at Hurricane.

I went for a run and then met some friends for coffee, S'mores frappe nom nom nom.

That pretty much wraps up my weekend! How was yours?

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday! I enjoyed my weekend and it was mostly very relaxing. For being the first weekend of Spring the weather was kind of blah with lots of fog and overcast-ness, but we did see some sunshine.

On Friday I finally decided to just buy the shoes so I went to buy them online (because they didn't have my size when I had looked in the store) and they were sold out of my size online! The horror! So I formulated a plan to go to another Target close to work on my lunch break and see if they had my size (Once I decide to buy something I want, nothing can stand in my way).

Obviously they did. I proceeded to wear them all weekend and I luuurve them!

I survived the cupcake baking and delivery on Saturday and all was well. The most stressful part was driving around St. Augustine for 20 minutes trying to find a place to park that wouldn't require me to carry 9 boxes of cupcakes 3 blocks. I ended up parking in the very narrow street behind the venue and praying my car wouldn't get towed.

After the delivery I decided I deserved Dunkin' Donuts so I stopped there for a Butter Pecan Iced Coffee. So, so good.

I stopped by the house to change into shorts and the shoes and grab Hurley and headed out to the RC Club to hang with Adam and the gang for a bit. They were doing a special event out there this weekend so Adam was out there all day on Saturday.

Hurley thoroughly enjoyed himself with all of the new people (and a new pup friend!) to say hi to and all of the new smells.

Sunday morning I spent at home cleaning and doing laundry and all that fun stuff. We went out to lunch at Hurricane and I had my favorite there, the Grouper Tacos:

After lunch we drove down to take a quick walk on the beach. It was really overcast and grey, and a little chilly, but still nice to be on the beach!

Then, because we hadn't consumed enough calories at lunch, we stopped by the new frozen custard place at the beach. Well, new to us, it's been there since May of last year. It takes us a while to try new things.

So yummy!

'Twas a very nice weekend! But I'm ready to tackle Monday and kick it's butt!

Weekend Recap!

So as promised, a weekend recap a day late! I had such a wonderful weekend, and clearly it went too quickly for me and I was not at all ready for Monday yesterday! I think we seriously need to consider making 3 day weekends a permanent thing.

Friday night was Mexican with friends and we hung out at their house for a while, then we came home and watched one of our "Fall" movies, which happens to be this incredibly cheesy and kitschy Rankin/Bass classic:

Saturday morning I had to get up super early to drive Adam over to a friend's house for a road trip they were taking, and then I took a delivery to the beach. I decided to stay and watch the sunrise, which was absolutely beautiful and I think it might need to be something I do every now and then, so quiet and relaxing!

Then I ran a few errands so I had to get some Pumpkin Spice goodness from DD:

While I was out some friends texted and asked if I wanted to go to some antique shops with them, and I was like YES! I LOVE antiquing, even when I don't plan to buy anything it's so much fun to just look at all of the cool stuff!

This one was like a HUGE warehouse with big, small, and everything in between. They had smaller trinket type antiques, furniture, tools, and even building materials and old 1920's era refrigerators and stoves!

Resident antique cat. This guy was clearly in his favorite spot and didn't even open his eyes when I pet him!

On the way to the next one we made an impromptu stop at a Farmer's Market and looked at all of the pretty pumpkins and gourds.

The next antique shop was much smaller, more quaint and cute! But also had a lot of really neat things! I pretty much wanted everything I saw.

Cool old children's books

Next we went to San Marco, which is an older area of town with lots of little shops, restaurants, and old theaters. The weather was GORGEOUS, so it was perfect for walking around. We found the neatest little book shop, ran into some old friends, and just had a lovely time.

Sunday we slept late (glorious!), watched some Jags football, and Hurley and I did a little photo shoot:

We didn't get to watch the whole game because that afternoon was the Fair! Which was a blast and I think will have to be a later post because there is already a metric buttload (you can thank Adam for that terminology, all him) of pictures in this post.

But the Jags won!!! See, it was totally lucky and necessary for me to buy that Jags shirt last week.

Linking up!
