Confessions: My Celebrity Crushes

So I don't know about you but throughout my teenage years I went through quite a few crushes, both on boys I actually knew and talked to on a regular basis (of whom we do not speak, because hello this is the internet where information lives forever. And while I'm sure I was painfully obvious about my infatuation even in my attempt to play it cool, I am fairly certain they were also completely clueless and I'd like to keep it that way, kthx) and on celebrities who I of course never actually met in real life but I swear I had a serious connection with. Like for real.

These are the guys who stole my heart back in the day, and I would gaze at their picture in Teen Beat and get especially psyched when they were the feature with the pull-out poster in the middle. Come on, you know you did it too. 

 Jonathan Taylor Thomas

JTT is the first celebrity I can remember really having a crush on. I was in sixth grade and all of us girls would bring our magazines to school and giggle and blush and come up with scenarios in which we would meet, date and get married to him on a regular basis. I'm pretty sure I remember us writing letters to him and everything. This was legit, y'all. 

Joey Lawrence

Whoa! He actually really wasn't on my radar much when he was on Blossom, though I did think he was cute. When I was really crushin' hard was when he was on that show Brotherly Love. His brother Matthew is a cutie too, but there was just something about Joey. My BFF and I watched the show faithfully and we were SO SAD when it was cancelled! 

Mark Paul-Gosselaar

Did anyone not crush on Zach Morris at some point? He was the quintessential California surfer boy with the great blond hair, cute smile, and maybe a slightly overblown sense of self-confidence, but it totally worked for him. We all wanted to be Kelly Kapowski, and not just because she looked great in a mini-skirt. 

Devon Sawa

I first saw Devon Sawa (Sah-Wah? Swa?) in Wild America, in which you've got him and JTT in the same movie. Marketing GOLD. It doesn't get much better than that. The wispy blonde surfer cut, the deep blue eyes. It was all over and he was my new crush before the credits rolled. 

Freddie Prinze Jr. 

I first saw him in "She's All That", and while at first you think his character is kind of a jerk, he grows on you and by the end of the movie when he grows to love Laney and see her for what a great person she really is you're all "Awwww!" and you swoon. It doesn't hurt that he has great hair, great eyes, and an adorable smile. 

I know there were many more, but these are the ones that immediately came to mind.
