Friday night we ordered pizza and worked on the wedding cake for the next day. We also watched this, because, why not?
Saturday morning we finished the cake and delivered it to this GORGEOUS house in Ponte Vedra Beach (where the rich people live).
After delivering the cake we stopped by Trader Joe's! And pretty much walked in and back out because it was INSANELY busy and the lines at the register were straight up ridiculous. Maybe better to wait a week or so until the madness dies down and try again.
It was a little disappointing not to be able to buy organic pumpkin chai mix and pumpkin cornbread croutons, but there was no way we were standing in that line for half an hour (I might be exaggerating a little, but not by much).
So we went to this other organic and natural foods grocery store by our house called Earth Fare, and found some complete impulse buys like this awesomeness:
SO good, and it's made with Almond Milk and only 90 calories a serving!!
Then we went to Chili's to watch football and eat food. I tweeted at Chili's and they totally tweeted me back, I kinda geeked out about it. I'm such a Twitter noob.
Sunday morning I cleaned the house and paid bills (yay for adult stuff!) and then we went to Hurricane Grill where we watched the game and ended up getting free lunch because the waitress took our order and then forgot about us. We hadn't even really noticed that much how long it was taking because we were into the game, and she came up and said she forgot about our table and she was so sorry and lunch was on her! So that was kind of awesome, lunch was delicious, and we were sitting outside in perfect weather directly in front of the huge TV:
Sunday evening was walking on the beach and dinner with friends.
Then we went to Target and this happened:
Notice how thrilled he looks |
It's never easy to come back to work on Monday, but it's helps that I feel both accomplished and relaxed from this weekend! How was your weekend? Linking up with B Loved Boston, Dateless in Dallas, Showered with Design, A Cute Angle, and Join the Gossip!
Looks like a fun weekend! We just moved and I'm SO sad we're no longer near a Trader Joe's... their pumpkin bread is just the best. Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteSounds like it was a perfect weekend!!! Where did they build the Trader Joe's....it looks enormous - well bigger than the ones we have in Boston!! If you're still making cakes and not over it - I have a ton of friends I'd be happy to give your information to!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great weekend! I love Trader Joe's, but would never. Ever. wait in line for over 30 minutes. Also, that pumpkin tee for your little 'pumpkin' is adorable.
